Alex Cavalli and his crew had a table in the big CanJam room with their array of headphone amplifiers.

Along with his production units was a prototype of the first Cavalli portable headphone amplifier. Temporarily dubbed the Liquid Silicon, the hand-sized unit, playing high-rez music through a pair of HiFiMAN HE-1000s, sounded bigger and more powerful than any other portable that comes to mind -- in other words, it sounded like a Cavalli. Cavalli has yet to announce a price (or a final name) for the new product and expects to start taking orders in January 2016.
