The sign behind these fellows says it all. Thor Audio was once an elite name among manufacturers of tube electronics, but a few years ago its founder, Paul Marks, decided to leave the audio business, and the Thor Audio name vanished.

That was then. Ted Lindblad (right), who was a former Thor Audio dealer, and Jordan Hill, an audio-engineering student at the University of Hartford, have acquired the company's designs, and they are reviving the Thor Audio name. They are currently offering upgrades for older products, each of which comes with a new five-year warranty, and they will soon begin selling new products.

The Thor Audio Valkyrie mono amp...

...and Mjollnir preamp will be in production in the near future. Prices are not set for either product.
