A Pair of New Power Products from Shunyata Research
hunyata Research has introduced two new power products based on successful longstanding designs. The Denali 6000/Tower v2 Limited Edition (right, $7000) borrows its form from the original Denali 6000/T but adds advances discovered from development of the Denali 6000/S v2 shelf version. These include updated v3 filtering, larger versions of Shunyatas patented QR/BB technology and NIC (Noise Isolation Chambers), and CGS Ground noise filtering, which minimizes ground noise. The unit's integral three-stage Trident Defense System provides protection from AC spikes and surges. The Denali 6000/Tower v2s integrated stand provides isolation from floor-borne vibration. Patented technologies within the Denali 6000/Tower v2 are applied in critical medical and studio, mastering and film applications worldwide. Also new is the two-outlet Typhon T2 ($5500), a five-year refinement of the original Typhon and Typhon QR models. At almost half the size and price of the Typhon QR, it has three distinct functions. When the Typhon T2 is connected as a stand-alone two-outlet reference power distributor, it will, according to Shunyata, "super-charge the performance of even the worlds most demanding amplifiers." The Typhon T2 can also be connected, via an optional Performance ($750) or Reference ($1200) umbilical, to an existing Shunyata power distributor as "a performance force-multiplier of the first order." Finally, it can also be used in a reference-level two- or three-component system, which "wont find a better solution for performance than the Typhon T2." |
