Shunyata Research's New Alpha-X and Sigma-X Signal Cables
hunyata Research says the company's new Alpha-X (shown right) and Sigma-X interconnects, speaker cables, phono cables, and digital cables "feature major advances to Shunyata Research's exclusive science." Specific technologies employed are TAPc (Transverse Axial Polarizer), a patent-pending technology that Shunyata Research has improved and reduced in size to complement the broad array of Sigma-X and Alpha-X cables; HARP, which Shunyata head Caelin Gabriel discovered through his research into "current drift" and audio-frequency current resonances that occur in speaker cables; KPIP v2 (Kinetic Phase Inversion Process), an update to Shunyata Researchs proprietary KPIP process that permanently preconditions cables and power distributors and further shortens the break-in cycle; and PMZ (Precision Matched Impedance Cable Geometry), which achieves tight tolerances through one-quarter speed extrusion and braiding during the manufacturing process. The prices for the new cables are: 1m Alpha X RCA interconnects, $2800/pair 1m Sigma X RCA interconnects, $4850/pair According to Shunyata Research, ". . . these advances in tangible science underscore Shunyata Research's commitment to delivering overwhelming improvement in signal resolution to the audio, recording, mastering and medical industries." The full lineup of Sigma-X and Alpha-X cables are shipping now. |
