Single-Ended
Tube Amplifiers from Acuhorn
implicity is at the heart of Acuhorn's new single-ended TT stereo (4800) and mono (9600/pair) amplifiers. Both feature "the purest and most intact audio path" with only a grid input transformer, 6C33C tube and output transformer in the signal path. The stereo amp uses one tube per channel to produce 6Wpc, and the monoblocks double the tubes per channel and power output. Setup and maintenance of the TT amps require very little user involvement. The bias point is fixed at 400mA and the tubes are the only user-replaceable parts. "[J]ust insert the tube into the socket and play," according to Acuhorn. The amps have 4- and 8-ohm outputs. |
