The Audio Physic Avantera (£13,500/pair) is a tall floorstanding speaker with a curved rear cabinet that slants away from the listener. Sold in either oak or walnut finishes, the Avantera includes a dome tweeter that has its own chamber. It shares this space only with its crossover network and both are decoupled from the cabinet. You will also find two midrange drivers that feature an anti-resonance basket-in-basket construction and a damped aluminum diaphragm. Four 7” woofers are positioned at the sides of the speaker in pairs.
