shelf for tube amp?

question on tube amp placement: should I use the bottom shelf of my equipment rack which
is maybe 3-4 inches off the floor? Or perhaps top shelf? Any difference from a sonic
perspective?

Audiophiles
generally use the bottom shelf, because the amplifier is often the heaviest component, and
they reserve the top shelf for a turntable, because it needs the clearance above. But
these are guidelines, not rules. You can try both and see if either placement is better in
