tariffs?

With
the Trump tariffs about to hit, I can’t help but think the prices for tubes will go
even crazier than they are now. Perhaps it's time to sell off tube gear and go solid
state. Just my two cents worth. The JJ tube factory in Slovakia probably just won the
lottery, so to speak.

That's something I hadn't thought about, but if the solid-state gear you want to
buy is from China, it would be hit with a tariff too.
Many
tubes are already in retailers' hands, and they won't be subject to a future tariff. So
maybe the thing to do is stock up on tubes right now. Let's see if the prices spike
because of what may happen beginning next year. -Marc Mickelson
