Microfiber
cleaning cloths?

Marc,
Are
good-old microfiber cloths safe to clean vinyl? Plus Dustbuster?

Yes,
you can use microfiber cloths to clean vinyl (I really like the blue 3M cloths, which I've
also used to buff out light scratches, sometimes removing them, and their noise,
completely), but you won't be doing much more than removing dust and dirt from the record
surface, and you will probably get better results with a carbon-fiber brush, like
AudioQuest's Anti-Static Record Brush. -Marc Mickelson
CH
Precision and HRS

Roy,
I
bought a multiple set of used HRS Nimbus footers and just inserted them under the CH
Precision C1 and the two A1's. Wow! You were so right in your review. Profound, meaningful upgrade, and amazing value for money:
space, separation, resolution, detail retrieval, but also naturalness, believability and
weight of timbres are very, very significantly enhanced. The difference is not
subtle. And that's not even with maple platforms under the A1's; the Nimbus rest directly
on the floor/rug. I can't imagine how much better the Vortex would sound, and the damping
plates.
Thank
you so much for pointing me in that direction. These should be considered mandatory
purchases (or, better yet, built-in feet) with CH Precision gear.
