One of the hottest products shown this year was from Vienna Acoustics, in the form of its Mozart Infinity two-box system -- a Sonos-like system on steroids, with the steroid metaphor referring to the enhanced music-making capabilities. The price has not yet been established, nor has a firm date for availability, but expect it to run in the €12,000 range. Vienna Acoustics is working on its US-distribution plan, and may end up selling this system direct to US customers.

Consisting of two small speakers, the electronics are tucked away in the left-hand speaker, with a wire (dare we call it a cable?) running to the right-hand speaker, to pair the set, with a power cord connected to the left speaker. A digital input allows owners to stream from an iPhone or tablet.

The little system filled the room with great sound, surprising visitors who kept wondering where the stack of electronics was hidden.
