Tidal often brings an array of speakers that reach for the ceiling, and it was showing its truly top-end Bugatti speakers. But in the space next door, Tidal was premiering its newest creation, the Contriva G3 ($79,000 per pair in black lacquer or $84,000 in veneer), with Gen4 black ceramic midrange and Gen3 diamond tweeter, followed by a couple of carbon-fiber/aluminum woofers.

The speaker’s piano-lacquer cabinet, finished in midnight black, rests on high-gloss stainless-steel outriggers. Each speaker weighs 251 pounds and stands just over 51” high.

By Tidal standards, the Contriva G3 is not so tall. Under show conditions, the sound was excellent.
