Stenheim unveiled its newest speaker, the Alumine Two.Five ($32,500 per pair), a passive, ported, two-way floorstander -- and Stenheim’s entry-level floorstanding model.

As the name implies, the Alumine Two.Five has a fully aluminum cabinet. Standing 37 1/4" high and tipping the scales at 100 pounds per side, it employs two 6 1/2” woofers and 1" soft-dome tweeter. The nominal impedance is 8 ohms and it has a claimed sensitivity of 93dB.  The black front and back are outlined by a metallic frame in either light or dark gray.

The relatively small speakers filled a room significantly larger than would be expected in a typical home installation, and they provided the promise of sound typical of that expected from Stenheim’s range of speakers. The Alumine Two.Five is expected to ship in the third quarter of 2023.
