High End 2019 Hot Product

Shunyata Research showed a number of new
products in Munich, including new Hydras, the Delta 6 (above, top unit, $2000) and Alpha
12 ($3500) intended to make Triton levels of performance more affordable. Also new were
three Ethernet cables, the Venom ($300/1.5-meter length), Alpha ($600/1.5-meter length)
with a single proprietary CFM, and Sigma ($900/1.5-meter length) with two of the CFM
modules.

But for many the most interesting new products will be
the Venom V12NR (above left, $350 per six-foot length) and V10NR ($460 per six-foot
length), serious power cords at something approaching real-world prices. Those prices
preclude Shunyata using their impressive, proprietary CopperConn connectors, but both the
IEC (which contains the companys demonstrably effective NR AC noise-reduction
technology) and the AC connectors have been exactingly selected, especially the Schuko,
which is so often a weak link in power-cord ranges. Both leads are treated to Shunyata's
full KPIP burn-in/preconditioning process, guaranteeing full performance from the start. |
