High End 2019 Hot Product
Last year, Oliver Göbel
surprised the Munich show with the massive Divin Majestic loudspeaker, a
449,000-per-pair behemoth that offered high efficiency while eschewing the
companys trademark bending-wave driver. Having spent some considerable time with the
big speaker on a recent trip to Hong Kong, weve developed a healthy respect for its
capabilities.
This year the company showed the rather more
modest (the term is relative) Divin Noblesse (195,000 per pair). Almost two feet
shorter than its bigger brother, the junior model still offers 95dB sensitivity and a -3dB
point at 21Hz from its two heavily ported 12 bass drivers. It features the same
modified AMT high-frequency unit and sophisticated coatings on the cone midrange and bass
drivers, derived from the panels used in the bending-wave driver.
Smaller, more easily accommodated and almost as easy to
drive as the flagship model, the Divin Noblesse promises to deliver an awful lot of the
Majestics performance at a considerably more approachable price. |
