Having spent ten years completing its 1 series, CH Precision has started over, applying everything learned in that decade of development to the outwardly similar 10 series. Using the same chassis components, display and basic topology, the refined L10 line stage (above, 70,000 CHF, dual mono) and M10 power amp (below, 90,000 CHF, stereo) both employ all-new circuit boards, upgraded components and improved functionality -- but most importantly, CH Precision claims significantly improved sound quality. Both also offer the company’s distinctive adjustable feedback option among many operational features, with smaller steps between settings on the M10 and the L10 (the first component not a power amp to offer the feature), giving users a choice between defining global or local feedback ratio. Distinguished by a straight feature line on the fascia, rather than the 1-series curve, the L10 is otherwise almost identical to the L1, but comes with a dedicated external power supply.

The M10 might look like an M1.1 from the front, but it is almost twice as deep, delivering 300Wpc into an 8-ohm load, or more than a kilowatt in bridged mode. The 10 series also breaks with CH tradition in that as well as the distinctive blue/gray color, units are also available in anthracite or a distinctive gold color. Owners can even mix and match chassis components if they wish. Both the L10 and M10 can double up/be upgraded to create true monaural versions (120,000CHF and 170,000CHF, respectively). Expect US pricing to be around 10% higher than those numbers. Availability will be in the fourth quarter of this year.
