YG Acoustics launched the Sonja at last year's CES, and this year the company debuted another all-new model, the Hailey ($42,800 per pair). Like the Sonja, the Hailey has a CNC-machined aluminum cabinet, special air-core crossover inductors and YG's own BilletCore drivers. Hailey is fully passive, however, and uses a brand-new 7 1/4" midrange. Sensitivity is given as 87dB, with a nominal 4-ohm impedance and no more that a +/-1dB variation across the "audible band. It sounded just as rich and lively as we remember the Sonja.
