The Vivid Audio G2 Giya ($55,000/pair) looks identical to the G1 Giya and uses the same Vivid-designed and -manufactured tweeter, midrange and upper bass drivers, but its one-piece cabinet is about three-quarters the size of the larger speaker's and the side-mounted woofers are smaller as well -- 9" for the G2 versus 11" for the G1. Visually, the proportions of the G2 are better, the new speaker looking downright cute. It can still unleash deep, detailed bass, however, and its coherence elsewhere is impressive as well.
